One of my most memorable moments in Seoul was renting a Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) and experiencing Gyeongbokgung Palace. Gyeongbokgung Palace itself is so magnificent that I wanted to visit it no matter what, but experiencing it in Hanbok was truly special. If you're planning to visit Gyeongbokgung Palace during your trip to Seoul, I highly recommend trying on a Hanbok.

Introduction to Gyeongbokgung Palace

Gyeongbokgung Palace, the first royal palace of the Joseon dynasty, was built in 1395 when King Taejo Lee Seong-gye moved the capital to Hanyang (present-day Seoul). As its name suggests, meaning "Palace of Shining Happiness," it was a significant place symbolizing the politics and culture of the Joseon Dynasty. Today, its beautiful architecture and landscaping make it a must-see destination for tourists visiting Seoul.

Gyeongbokgung Palace, a symbol of Joseon Dynasty culture, has been damaged several times but has been preserved through restoration efforts. It is a representative cultural heritage site embodying the history of Korean traditional architecture.
